Our History and Philosophy

morinoya (森の家) is a Japanese tapas (wide variety of small dishes for sharing) restaurant located in the heart of West Los Angeles. Head Chef Takayuki Morishita, better known as “Mori” has been serving the Los Angeles community for more than 28 years (Mitsuki, Yuu and Place Yuu).

Our sole mission is to bring you the upmost authentic Japanese cuisine experience by using the freshest seafood, vegetables, and meats. At morinoya, you’ll find traditional dishes at izakaya’s such as yakitori and oden but many unique dishes you won’t find in the usual spots. We also try to stay away from any fusion styled dishes.
